NeNe Latest Real Housewives of Atlanta Fraud?

For me NeNe seems the most normal of the bizarre Atlanta Housewives that Bravo rounded up for the supposed Real Housewives of Atlanta. NeNe seems to have a nice husband. Seems to have nice kids. Seems to live in a nice house.

And then I got the following from Tink in Atlanta, in which I learn, among other things, that NeNe's actual name is Linnethia.....

I live it Atlanta and I've become addicted to this trainwreck of a show.

Something has bothered me about NeNe from the beginning. First off, her house seems awfully staged to me. Have you noticed that there is never ANYTHING on the countertops, the bookshelves are almost bare, etc? When she had friends over, they had to sit on pillows in the living room because there was hardly any furniture.

So, I did a little digging, and this is what I found:

1) According to public tax records, her "home" (which is not in Sugarloaf CC; it's in a Weiland neighborhood across the street from Sugarloaf) actually belongs to an individual by the name of Kajani Shenaz Ali.
https://ssl.gwinnetttaxco...fAccount.aspx?AIN=3854594

2) On gwinnettcourts.com (a public site), you can search for Gregg Leakes, NeNe's husband (there are many selections to choose from) and you will see this: http://www.gwinnettcourts...tail/case:08%2dm%2d30200/, where he is the defendant in a September eviction notice for the same address.

3) When you look up Linnethia Leakes on whitepages.com
http://www.whitepages.com...d=GA&localtime=survey, you get an address for a condo in Duluth. I live a few minutes away, and yes, I have too much time on my hands, so I drove to that address and found this condo with a Kia SUV in the driveway (not quite the Land Rover NeNe drives on the show).

The condo mentioned above is the photo at the top. Photo taken by Tink.

I couldn't agree with you more, but first let me say, "good job". You did a great job investgating.
It looks as though their eviction is very recent, since Gregg is a real estate investor, and the shape of real estate currently in this country, it is not surprising that they faced foreclosure.

I imagine during the real estate bubble that was going on in this country, they did not have any money stashed away for a rainy day. All of these folks spent money as if there was no tomorrow. And as we all know, it eventually always rains....

I wonder what Season 2 is going to look like for these women?

One thing you did say that I noticed, their house on the show did not look lived in......I agreed completely with you when I read that.

Something was just not right, even back to the time they were filming, which was in March of 08.

Thanks for your information.....

Eve, Malibu CA.

If you Google the address listed on NeNe's whitepages.com was sold in February 2008. Can someone find out who the current owner is?

Anonymous said...

Susan Jung purchased it from the builder in 2004. She sold it to Sunny Van in 2008. Very strange. Why does NeNe have this as her listed address?

Anonymous said...

Her real name is such a ghetto cliche - something hideous. And I'm not surprised they were evicted from their home and maybe, just maybe, renting a condo now. "NeNe" was as fake as Sheree. I don't know why they didn't get along better, neither has anything to offer, nor is making their own money - or contributing to the betterment of American society in any way.

When you go to whitepages.com, you'll noticed that the phone number is a business named Advantage Move.

According to the Georgia Secretary of State, they started a moving company in Sept 2007. So it seems to me that they used the townhouse as an office until it was sold in Feb 2008.

It is so weird to see how many people do not have a life. Honey, I understand you are trying to dig up dirt on NeNe Leaks, but you made yourself look more like a jack ass. You are making comments about their home and money issues ect. Do you have a job? Is your money right or is it funny like everyone else is? You also need to realize that everything you do will come back to bite you on the butt. I hope someone do an investigation on you & your family. At the end of the day, we all realize that this is a tv show. People has made this show to serious. Get a life. Take the show for what it is .... a tv show and move on with your own life. Driving around doing an investigation on something you're not getting paid for is stupid to me. Find a hobby and get a life. PS... FIND SOMETHING MEANINGFUL TO TAKE ABOUT BECAUSE THIS ISN'T IT. Have a good week!

Let's see if I've got this right. Anonymous #6 thinks the people who are intrigued by the bizarre lifestyles of these women and want to know more need to get a life and realize it's only a TV show and find something better to do. While Anonymous #6 has nothing better to do than read blogs and commments to blogs about a TV show? Perhaps Anonymous #6 should take his or her own advice and go find something meaningful to do.

Anonymous said...

Hey, if you blast yourself on National TV and boast about money and the good life which money can bring you in the ATl, then you should show for it. Obviously, whoever anonymous #6 might be a little bitter for some stupid reason? Good job on the investigation!!! For you anonymous #6 you get a job and leave this blog site alone if you are too hurt and bitter to read it. Now you have a good day!

"I understand you are trying to dig up dirt on NeNe Leaks, but you made yourself look more like a jack ass."

The reason such detective work and going through records is perfectly valid.

Bravo TV produces this as a "reality TV" show, however, we know that it's not only scripted it's also very contrived. How much? Well, so much so that while the women are real, the lives depicted are coming out to be more fictional than biographical. This doesn't make any of the women less human, but it does make the Bravo network responsible for making them into bigger monsters than they may be.

For sure, they opened their mouths, they said regrettable things, they forgot how much can be done to further sculpt them in the editing bay. What they said, regardless of the real context is theirs to keep for the rest of their lives. It's part and parcel of signing that contract.

So as far as their foibles? Well, why didn't Bravo just depict them as they were? Why did they have to creat an aura of wealth, when the truth is that they're not only momentarily, but newly rich. They have husbands who are facing big life questions --like what do I do with my life? They seem to have limited educations. They don't know how money works and yet, they find themselves living a life that costs a lot.

In a way, these questions echo what many Americans can already relate to. This would have been as interesting, and perhaps the women would have had far more benefits to appearing than having to live with some of the very real consequences that will come to them over the years.

The most interesting thing to me about the show and in fact the multiple series about "Housewives" is that none of the women are actually "Housewives." I am a wife and mother who stays at home and takes care of my children. Rarely do you see these women with their husbands or children. In fact many do not have husbands anymore and their children are being raised by a nanny. They should rename the show. "Trash of Atlanta" The only people who would agree to do a show like this are trash who don't respect their families and can't wait to get some sort of celebrity from something so disgusting. I hope the country realizes that Atlanta is NOT anything like it is depicted in this ridiculous show.

Have you ever considered that NUT JOBS like you would be a good reason to rent a fake home for the purposes of the show?

Anonymous said...

I think that everyone that is getting on anonymous #6 needs to get a fuckin' clue. It appears to me that all of you are low-lives and very critical. One of you made a comment about #6 not having a life and being on this blog site, if that's the case, then you damn sure dont have a right or THE right. It sounds like the pot is calling the kettle black when clearly it needs not to.

wow... I cannot believe that you would find so much interest in Nene's financial woes... if they are real.... to be honest...it made my skin crawl people excited about their problems and back slapping the person who even took the time to drive to their "home".... be nice people ..... and there is nothing "great" about snooping the way you did... the show is to be enjoyed not for you to go out and stalk people...

Jared says,
Hmm.. Well truth be told, none of the women have money. That should be obvious to anyone that has either money or common sense. My father owns a multi-million dollar company that I KNOW for a fact that each one of you have heard of, and depending on your financial state, has shopped at. I say that to say that w are very rich and don't portray that type of image at all. I happen to be a close friend, actually a family member of Ed Harterll, and they do not live in that house, nor did Jazze Pha purchase the home Lisa showed, Ed and the kids don't have a healthy relationship, Lisa does not drive a Hummer or Range Roover, and Ed did not play in the NFL for 7 years. This is crazy. There is no such thing as reality television. Its all mess. It is recorded for people to envy and rave about and for this multi-billion dollar company(BRAVO) to keep getting richer. But I'm not gonna complain because my mother is the VP of the company so you all keep tuning in bringing in yet more money to my household..

Anonymous said...

how can jared say that they are related to ed hartwell and they cannot even spell the last name correctly.it is like everyone is saying it is just entertainment.everyone have a nice day.

Anonymous said...

I can't stand Lisa, because she is so phony. On the last episode she sucked up to NeNe about when she told sheree what happened in the limo (what NeNe said about Kim). You all must realize whether someone has money or not at the end of the day they are all still caddie women and if i was NeNe i would have let Lisa have it. and as far as Sheree seriously who told her she was god's gift to the world, she truly needs to stop it and focus on getting a real life.

Wow, I had no idea that the lives of other people are so important to those who don't even know them. That's probably why people feel as though they have to put on a "show". Yes I have time to reply on this blog, but none to be a hater especially on someone who I have nothing to do with, whose on tv, and who doesn't even know I exist. I think that's the problem with America, everyone is sooo preoccupied with what everyone else is doing, or not doing. Please get a life, you are worse than the nosey neighbors across the street or papparazzi, except you dont get paid.

You have no life. Remember HATING is a disease... a very contagious disease. You have contacted a deadly case of the HATING DISEASE...there is a cure for your hating on NeNe Leakes.....I am pleased to offer you the cure for your HATING. GET A LIFE! A REAL LIFE and stop digging for dirt on others. I bet that you wish you could be the focus of a show on a major network. You wish your life was interesting enough for just 1 person to be interested. But it's not - so instead you stoop so low to get attention - how sad. Who cares where she lives or what her husband owes...SO WHAT!!! She is fun to watch and the life of the show so..... Stop your hating HATER!

Yall are some damn losers! like really you aint got nothing better to do than to drive to someone's house to see if they are really living like they say they are, like really. Thats some loser stuff. If you watch a show and google about the person out of natural human curiosity that's one thing but to play PI and start driving up to people's homes yeah you are taking it wayyyyy too far. Let me ask you haters something, what does it to for your life to find out that Nene may have a less expensive car than she has on the show? or that Greg may have been one of many Americans who have fallen on hard times in this economy and lost their homes? Does that make you feel better about yourself? just curious

It seems as if all these women and their backgrounds are so much more questionable than any of the other casts. NY, LA all seem pretty up and up, but not Atlanta. It's too bad that the ladies, are really just being used for a show.I wouldn't be surprised if some of the ladies who were in on shady real estat deals, by themselves, or with husbands, are investigated. It is just a hot mess. The only real lady is Kandi!

Unknown said...

I just got on here to see what the real housewives did and what thier husbands do. I can't believe I am fixing to go through all the trouble just to leave this, but I wanted to say something. Bad things have happened in this county to good people. These are people, remember that. Remember they have kids and families just like all of us and just because at one time they had it all, doesn't mean they expected or we should expect that they have it forever or fault them for what they have or what they have lost. We don't know thier real story, but we all know we would never let these things be said about our own families. Everyone is so angry that this show hasn't told the whole truth about something private these poeple may be going thru but do we always air our own dirty laundry? No, we put on a happy face, and try to cover it as best we can and we don't respect anyone who tries to uncover it just to spite us so why would we do it to them? Like I said, they are people too. Try to have some resect for everyones situation even if you don't fully understand it.

Wow, the fact that you have that much time on your hands is really sad. I mean, seriously...to take 5 minutes of of your day to read a blog is one thing...to actually take the time to drive and locate someones house is another! Can anyone say stalker?
I watch the Real Housewives every week. You know why? Because its entertainment! TV! "Reality" or not, its on to entertain us! As for Nene financial state...who cares? really? how is it hurting you? First and formost...how many of you own your on home? If you have a morgage- hun, its not your house, its the banks! I have seen Kim and Sheree throw their so called wealth around often during the two seasons. Buying UGLY expensive jewelry. While I have heard Nene say on several occassions to spend wisely cause we're in a recession! (See when Nene and Dwight go shopping to decorate her new home) Which is smart thinking no matter how rich or poor you are. You dont get rich by spending all your money!
Do you haters actually dislike Nene cause she does not fit your stereotype of a person with money? Because you actually want to be her, in her position? And to the OP, since you are so good at researching things, why dont you go research a good therapist. Cause thats the scary stalker type shit!

Can I say thanks for showing that some folks are full of hate

Unknown said...

Come on we realize that all of those women were selected to be apart of the show. We all know it's not reality and do not believe it. It also shows that some folks need more to do with themselves. That they also need to do some soul searching with God as their center. What you did and took the time to post was Ridiculous.

I LOVE IT ALL! the trash talking, back-biting, envy, the whole thing. Listen, people love to see those who are sucessful (whether real, created or imagined) fail. These comments could be applied to any wealthy person with financial issues, simply because the vast majority are the have-nots.

Why root for the girl in the mansion, when your in a fifth floor walk-up with a sucky job and a 10 yr old car tht you still have a note on. The entire thing is pathetic. I wonder what God thinks of as he looks down and sees what he has created. Self-absorbed yet self-loathing.

I am not rich nor am I poor, but I would never presume to sit in judgement of another. We all have enogh worries walking in our own shoes...

I wish those women and their families well. At the end of the day, I'm sure they look back at their mistakes without pride - wether or not they share that with the "adoring fans".

Just a bunch of poor black trash mammys who are trying to play in the big leagues. And are failing and all bankrupt. What a laugh. I watched once just to see how trashy these old has been hos are. Ex wifes and wanna be's. No class. Hood rats.

I think NeNe is as phony as Kims hair. Instead of her being called NeNe, I think she should be called Neigh-Neigh.As in horse. Whenever she talks all you see is a big gap where she used to have teeth on her bottom jaw. If she has so much money, why wouldn't she get some false teeth made to fill the gap. After all it seems that the more false you are in these shows the better it is. Giddy-Up.
