Leave It To Beaver: Wally, Beaver & Eddie Are Old Men

Leave It to Beaver is one of TV's classic sit-coms. Like I Love Lucy, Leave It to Beaver is always running on some TV, somewhere in the world. Leave It to Beaver premiered on CBS on October 4, 1957 til 1958, then switched to ABC where it ran from 1958 til June 20,1963.

Jerry Mathers was Theodore Cleaver, known as The Beaver. The Beaver had a brother named Wally, played by Tony Ward. Wally's best friend was Eddie Haskell, played by Ken Osmond.

Eddie Haskell became a cultural archetype for insincere sycophants. As in, "He is such an Eddie Haskell."

Leave It to Beaver itself has become a cultural archetype, referenced to as representing an innocent time in America, prior to the turbulence of the 1960s.

By the time the series ended, Beaver, Wally and Eddie were all teenagers. And now, a few decades later, the three are bordering on being old men. Beaver is now 61, Wally, 64, with Eddie being the oldest at 66.
