
Jerry Mathers was Theodore Cleaver, known as The Beaver. The Beaver had a brother named Wally, played by Tony Ward. Wally's best friend was Eddie Haskell, played by Ken Osmond.
Eddie Haskell became a cultural archetype for insincere sycophants. As in, "He is such an Eddie Haskell."
Leave It to Beaver itself has become a cultural archetype, referenced to as representing an innocent time in America, prior to the turbulence of the 1960s.
By the time the series ended, Beaver, Wally and Eddie were all teenagers. And now, a few decades later, the three are bordering on being old men. Beaver is now 61, Wally, 64, with Eddie being the oldest at 66.
