American Idol Eliminates Aaron Kelly, Leaving Top 4 Lee DeWyze, Crystal Bowersox, Casey James & Michael Lynche

That is American Idol Country Crooner, Aaron Kelly, under the black cowboy hat. Aaron Kelley and Michael Lynche were in the bottom 2 on last night's American Idol Results Show.

With Aaron Kelly getting the boot. I thought it was going to be Casey James sent home, after the tongue lashing he was given by the judges after what they seemed to indicate was a borderline criminal offense level of Sinatra song butchering.

But, it would seem the viewers indicated the growing irrelevance of the overly pitchy and bitchy judges.

Harry Connick Jr. was the funniest, best mentor yet. My favorite part was when he chastised the judges for using the non-musical term "pitchy" when the correct musicians term is "out of tune."

I usually do not watch much of the AI Results Show. Last night I did fast forward through the group singalongs, much of Harry Connick's singing and some of the Ryan Seacrest yammering.

I did watch Lady Gaga. Is American Pop Music in desperate straits?

So, Lee DeWyze, Crystal Bowersox and Casey James were the Top 3 this week. Next week is Movie Themed with Jamie Foxx mentoring. Casey James should sing Somewhere Over The Rainbow, just to annoy the annoying judges.
