Britney Spears Is Only Making $15 Million For One Season Of X Factor

Yesterday I heard on the radio that Britney Spears would be a judge on the second season of X Factor.

And that her one year deal with X Factor would pay her $15 million.

$15 million!

Something is way out of whack if someone like Britney Spears gets paid $15 million for something like being a judge on X Factor.

I thought Britney Spears had pretty much totally tarnished her image with all her embarrassments, starting, for me, with her awfully embarrassing awful reality TV show called Chaotic.

I believe it was on this Chaotic show that those who watched came to realize that Britney Spears is what is commonly called trailer trash.

A term I think it really rude.

I know some nice people who live in double-wides. But, I get what is meant by the term "trailer trash." And that Britney Spears could be the poster girl for that term.

Well, Britney Spears may be trailer trash, but she is very wealthy trailer trash.

The other new judge on X Factor is someone named Demi Lovato, about whom I knew nothing. I don't know how much Ms. Lovato is being paid. Or if she also is trailer trash. Apparently she is known for having played the character of Angela on Barney & Friends, and starring roles in something called the Camp Rock movies. She also has recorded some record albums, none of which I've heard of.

I really did not care for X Factor at all in its initial incarnation. I think I will likely like version 2 even less.

Tarzan Final Man Kicked Out of the One World Women's Tribe on Survivor

64 year old Dr. Gregory L. Smith, also known as Tarzan, on Wednesday, ceased being the last man standing on Survivor, sent to the jury by the coven of women who remain.

I think I missed the moment on Survivor where we learned why Tarzan was so nicknamed. I know it can not be due to his Johnny Weismuller like body and physical prowess.

For me this Survivor One World season has been the worst iteration of Survivor yet.

With the dumbest players ever, with the men having the  lead on dumb players. So dumb they were talked into giving up an immunity, to the women, due to the machinations of the annoying twerp named Colton.

Colton at least provided someone easy to dislike, with being a little amusing thrown in, til he succumbed to intestinal woes.

In a Survivor season short on moments of amusement, the blindside and teary exit of cat-eyed Kat, last week, was entertaining, sort of.

Survivor One World comes to its merciful end this coming Sunday. Two hours followed by the one hour reunion where the winner is named. I will fast forward to the jury grilling the final Survivors part. That might provide some amusement due to the clueless dumbness of those doing the questioning.

On Thursday night's first appearance by Kat on the jury she provided a hint of the amusement she might provide when the jury holds court, on Sunday, when she mouthed "bitches" in reaction to something one of the surviving women said.

Methinks the producers of Survivor need to do some re-tooling about how they cast who is on the show. Knock off the twists, find interesting people, then starve them for 39 days like old school Survivor, where we watched the Survivors shrink from lack of food.

American Idol Limps Towards The Finale With Too Many Standing Ovations

I could not watch American Idol without the benefit of a DVR fast forward button.

Last night, after listening to Phillip Phillips, I hit the FF button and quickly zipped past Hollie Cavanaugh, realizing I'd zipped past her singing when I saw the judges doing their critique thing.

I did not rewind.

I liked the duet with PP and Joshua Ledet, singing Maroon Five, with PP being Adam Levine instead of his usual Dave Matthews.

The duet with Jessica Sanchez and Hollie quickly had me hitting the FF button.

I really think the standing ovations by the judges are getting ridiculous and meaningless. It's the law of supply and demand. When you have an excess supply (too many standing ovations) you decrease their value.

I don't understand the praise from the judges, along with standing ovations, heaped upon Joshua and Jessica. I am not a fan of the hollering style of singing. Or over emoting. Or both. For me Joshua and Jessica have pretty much zero popstar type charisma, with that lack growing more and more apparent as the weeks have passed.

Meanwhile, Phillip Phillips, who gets no standing ovations, seems to have a sufficient supply of charisma and I find him easy to listen to sing.

As for that little blonde Texas British pixie, Hollie, it seemed the judges through her under the bus last night. Which likely had those who vote for this thing voting like crazy for Hollie.

But, if there was a place to bet, I'd bet it was Jessica getting the boot tonight, not Hollie.

And let's talk about Randy Jackson. He is sort of a likable guy. With an extremely limited jive vocabulary. Can he not think of a more updated word to use than "dude". Dude, it makes you sound so dumb to say dude over and over again. You know what I'm saying? You feel what I'm saying, don't you Ryan?

I think PP has a lock on winning this thing. But, once again, just like the recently completed Amazing Race and the soon to be completed Survivor, I really don't care who wins.
