Dancing With The Stars: Aaron Carter & Karina Smirnoff Not In The Semi-Finals

The bottom two tonight on Dancing With The Stars were Aaron Carter & Karina Smirnoff and Kelly Osborne & Louis van Amstel.

Aaron ended up with the lowest combined score. He took it real well. The kid sort of grew on me. In the end Len Goodman told Aaron he would be proud to call Aaron his son. I believe I've read that Aaron has some issues with his dad.

I thought Aaron would get all emotional and maybe have another crying episode. It was Karina who was the upset one. I like Karina.

The Kenny Mayne, Jerry Rice, Len Goodman Dance Center bit was pretty amusing.

Michael Buble was good.

Susan Boyle singing I Dreamed A Dream was the reason I watched the DWTS results show tonight. Usually I don't.

Britain's Got Talent runner-up and worldwide singing sensation, Susan Boyle's first album won't be released until November 24, but it is already a hit, spending months being at the top of Amazon.com's best seller list.

Judging from the album cover Susan Boyle's ongoing makeover process appears to be moving smoothly along.

I've not seen it, but the September issue of Harper's Bazaar has a photo spread of Ms. Boyle's makeover, with photos taken by Hugh Stewart, including the photo on the album cover.

I don't know if Susan Boyle's debut album will have any original music. I do know she will being singing some of the Monkee's, Madonna's and the Rolling Stone's hits.

Kevin Skinner Wins America's Got Talent

Unemployed Kentucky Chicken Grabbing Guitar playing singer, Kevin Skinner, won America's Got Talent.

Usually I am wrong about these things, but I thought he and Barbara Padilla were the two I thought most likely to win. Barbara Padilla came in second. I think I also thought Grandma Lee had a chance. But she did not make the Top Five.

I am grateful for the invention of DVRs, or I would not have been able to make it through the badly bloated 2 hour show.

The American Idol finale is a much more slick production. Simon Cowell has his hand in both. I don't know why this America's Got Talent show has a cheapy feel to it. Despite the million dollar prize. American Idol doesn't have a million dollar prize.

There were several famous performers. I only made it through two, those being Shakira and Susan Boyle. I like Shakira, but what she was doing on the America's Got Talent stage seemed to border on pornography to me. I was appalled.

The intro for Susan Boyle was well done. She was the last act right before Kevin Skinner was announced the winner. I had trouble understanding Susan's version of English, but I caught a lot of it, as she explained her post Britain's Got Talent breakdown. Susan Boyle sang Wild Horses. I rather liked it. I think her American debut went well.

My total dislike of David Hasselhoff was reinforced, greatly, watching the America's Got Talent finale.

Susan Boyle Finishes Second

Susan Boyle did not win on Saturday's Britain's Got Talent finale. But, even though she came in second to a 10 person dance troupe called Diversity, it's Susan Boyle who is getting the attention with the winners being mentioned deep into the articles about Susan Boyle not winning.

In other words, even though Susan Boyle lost, she won.

For her finale song Ms. Boyle sang the song that turned her into a world-wide YouTube Internet sensation, "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables.

In Susan's hometown of Blackburn, Scotland, about 10 miles west of Edinburgh, the locals put up signs of support and went to viewing parties where her second place finish was greeted with shouts of "no."

Ms. Boyle took the loss well, after a week of publicity regarding how stressed out she was from all the pressure, she gave a little curtsy, shimmied her hips and walked off the stage.

I suspect this is not the last the world will hear from Susan Boyle.

Susan Boyle Goes On A Tirade

Susan Boyle is in the finals of Britain's Got Talent. That's no huge surprise after she became a world-wide sensation due to the millions who heard her sing via a YouTube video of her singing "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables.

Boyle got in the finals singing "Memory" from Cats.

Apparently the pressure is getting to the 48 year old lady from a little village in Scotland. Susan Boyle was at the Wembley Plaza hotel, which was inundated with fans and press. A pair of journalists were removed from the building by police after supposedly harassing and taunting the singer.

Boyle swore in front of fans and contestants, spewing out a string of four-letter words. She was overheard, yelling, "How **** dare you! You can't **** talk to me like that." Police then approached Boyle, who was then heard shouting, after being asked if there is a problem, "Of course, there's a **** problem."

Boyle broke down in tears and escaped the public location.

Susan lost it again in the hotel's bar, screaming, "**** off," and making an obscene gesture at the bar's TV, after hearing Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan tell 12 year old singer, Shaheen Jafargholi that he had given "the best singing performance we've seen so far."

Morgan was on the CBS Early Show where he said he felt sorry for Susan and that he heard she'd been in tears the last 2 days and had threatened to leave the show due to all the pressure.

As much as I liked Susan Boyle after watching the YouTube video that made her a sensation, methinks she may not be cut out for the path she is currently on.

Susan Boyle Gets a Makeover

I thought part of her charm was Susan Boyle's frumpy housefrau look. When she was on CNN's Larry King Live she replied "why should I change?' when asked if she was going to change her look.

Well, apparently Susan Boyle has had a change of heart about the changing her look thing.

The new Susan Boyle looks like the result of a What Not To Wear makeover. New hair, new clothes.

The paparazzi spotted Ms. Boyle out and about with her frizzy, gray hair now a nicely styled shade of brown. And wearing a stylish leather jacket with a Burberry scarf and well-tailored slacks.

Susan Boyle's next Britain's Got Talent appearance is May 23. Maybe she'll be a blonde by then.

Yesterday Rush Limbaugh mentioned watching an astonishing YouTube video of a woman named Susan Boyle singing a song from Les Miserable, last Saturday, April 11 on the UK's Britains Got Talent show. I forget what exactly Mr. Limbaugh said, but it was something about being moved and it being a lesson in not judging by appearances.

There are several YouTube videos of this amazing TV moment. All of them have video embedding disabled.

When Susan walks on stage she is met with a derisive audience. And Simon Cowell. The audience laughs when Susan says her dream is to be a professional singer. When Cowell asked who she would like to emulate, Susan named a singer I've never heard of, must be a Brit. The audience laughed when Susan said who she would like to sing like.

And then Susan started singing. I won't tell you what happened then, I'll suffice to say, it was very good TV.

The Susan Boyle phenomenon has now gone global via the Internet, cable news and newspapers. The video I linked to above, in less than a week, has had almost 20 million viewings and over 100,000 comments.

Susan Boyle is 47, unemployed and said she has 2 cats and has never been kissed. I suspect that is no longer the case. I'm guessing Ms. Boyle will be flying back to LA with Simon Cowell, sometime soon, to sing on the American Idol Results Show.
