Maksim Chmerkovskiy In The Ukraine On The Bachelor Wondering If Mark Ballas & Derek Hough Will Be On The American The Bachelor

You are looking at picture of Dancing with the Stars Maksim Chmerkovskiy soon after his arrival in the Ukraine, on November 26.

Has Maks defected back to his homeland?

No.

Maks is back in his old homeland to try and find a wife by being on a Ukrainian TV network's Ukrainian version of ABC's The Bachelor.

I learned of this on Maks' blog where he defended himself regarding rumors that he'd refused to be on the American version of The Bachelor because he can't stand American women.

Maks has had some lovelife woes in his search for a wife. He claims to be real shy, with his time taken up by his dance career. For awhile Maks was engaged to fellow dancer Karina Smirnoff. He seemed real happy about it. But then they split. And now Karina is engaged again. While Maks hunts for Ukrainian love.

I think Maks would be very amusing on the American The Bachelor.

The Bachelor/Bachelorette has had a one way relationship with Dancing with the Stars, with Bachelorettes Trista Rehn Sutter and Melissa Rycroft dancing, along with everyone's most despised Bachelor, Jake Pavelka.

It seems only fair that one or two of the Dancing with the Stars stars should be on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.

If Karina Smirnoff most recent engagement goes awry, she'd make a good Bachelorette.

Wouldn't Derek Hough or Mark Ballas be amusing Bachelors? Those boys in the Fantasy Suites? Now that would be some entertaining TV viewing.

I wonder if the Ukrainian version of The Bachelor will have Maks in 3 different Fantasy Suites? He's such a shy guy, I'm sure this would make him very nervous.

In the video below you'll see Maks upon his arrival in the Ukraine and hear him speaking Russian. Or is it Ukrainian............?

Bachelor Pad Party Starts Tonight

I believe tonight, Monday, August 9, ABC's Bachelor Pad starts up. It's 2 hours long. I don't know if each episode is 2 hours long. I'll watch after the DVR records enough to give me FF ability.

The previews for Bachelor Pad seem to indicate that there is a lot of drama in the Bachelor Pad. Drama on a Reality TV Show is usually entertaining. And alcohol fueled

I'm not completely clear on how Bachelor Pad works, but I've been able to glean that it is some mutant mix between The Bachelor/Bachelorette/Big Brother and Survivor.

Nineteen former Bachelors and Bachelorettes make up the residents of the Bachelor Pad.

Each week there is a competition. The winner gets a rose. With that rose the winner is safe from being voted out of the tribe, I mean out of the Bachelor Pad. The rose winner gets to pick, I think, 3 people to go on a date with him or her. On that date the first rose winner gives out another immunity rose.

Chris Harrison is the host, so that should guarantee a certain level of smarm. That girl that Jason Mesnik famously dumped, Melissa Rycroft, shows up in some role. Maybe she runs the eviction segment.

All the Bachelor Pad residents share one big bedroom, sleeping in bunkbeds. Apparently tonight one pair decides to share a bunk. Noisily.

I read this morning that Bachelor Pad is going to test the limits of how R-Rated a network Reality TV Show can get. Apparently this is a clothing optional, for the most part, Bachelor Pad.

Oh. One more thing. The last person in the house wins a quarter million dollars. So, Bachelor Pad is not about the search for love, it's about the search for love and money.

The Bachelor Jason Mesnick & Molly Malaney Getting Married March 8 On TV

The most reviled bachelor in ABC's The Bachelor history, Jason Mesnick, he being the guy who changed his mind about his original wife choice, Melissa Rycroft, dumping her on TV, while viewers watched.

Mesnick then told his former #2, Molly Malaney, that he now wanted her to be his wife. Mesnick then proceeded to get way too affectionate, with his new bride to be, way too soon after dumping Melissa.

And now, finally, a wedding date has been set. March 8. That gives Jason 6 weeks to change his mind.

The Mesnick/Malaney nuptials will be shown on ABC. I do not know if this will be a live broadcast. I suspect it will get a lot of viewers, hoping to see some fresh Mesnick nuttiness.

I don't think I'll be watching. I know I did not watch the Trista/Ryan wedding. I believe they are the only wedding to come out of The Bachelor, well, actually that wedding was a result of The Bachelorette.

I did watch the wedding of Survivor's Rob and Amber. I liked that pair.
