Real Housewife of New York Kelly Bensimon's PSA about Systemic Bullying

Kelly Bensimon brought her patented madness to Monday night's Part 2 of the Real Housewives of New York City Reunion.

Crazy Kelly's revisionist history regarding her mentally ill breakdown in St. Johns on the U.S. Virgin Islands, where Kelly spins that she was the victim of systemic bullying, a spin first revealed on her Bravo Blog and then in a bizarre YouTube video, was the tactic Kelly used when confronted, by Andy Cohen, via video clips showing her appallingly bad behavior and bullying of Ramona, Bethenny, Alex and Sonja.

Reading various TV forums, this morning, the consensus seems to be that the Kelly thing has now gone too far, that Bravo is being unethical in continuing to put this obviously mentally ill woman on our TV screens. Even though it makes for some dementedly bizarre train wreck TV viewing, it just does not seem right to put this sadly, badly damaged woman in the public eye.

Bravo needs to do some sort of intervention. Maybe get Dr. Drew or Phil to give Kelly some heavy duty therapy.

And should not Child Protective Services be checking in on the welfare of Kelly's kids?

Anyway, below is Kelly's Systemic Bullying Public Service Announcement, with commenting disabled and the following blurb describing the video, in typical Kelly nonsensical fashion...

"Kelly Killoren Bensimon uses her experience with systematic bullying on the RHNYC to teach people how to handle the situation. Don't compete!"

The Bachelorette: No Rose for Weatherman Jonathon

I know I said I would not watch The Bachelorette. But, with a DVR you can zip through two hours of train wreck and watch the good parts of the wreck.

Like this lamebrain, embarrassing guy named Kasey.

Ali is taking her boys around the world. So, they left Los Angeles. For New York City. Where Ali took the twit, Kasey, on a helicopter ride around the city, ending at the New York City museum that has dinosaurs. Name escapes me.

Well, Kasey is one very awkward boy. Ali did not like how corny he was and how insincere he sounded. Twice this moron broke into song. And not at all in a good way. In the end Ali did not give him one of those single date special roses. But, she did not send him home. And in the end, in the big rose deal, she did give him a rose.

I forgot to mention, Kasey repeated over and over again something about shielding Ali's heart. After Ali doubted his sincerity, Kasey snuck out of the boy's dorm and got himself a tattoo on his wrist of a heart being shielded. Kasey was convinced this would prove to Ali how sincere he is. Like I said, this boy is a total dope. In the end, he didn't get around to showing Ali the tattoo.

And then there was the Weatherman, Jonathon, from Houston. This boy is so clueless, a little shrimp of a guy, shorter then Ali. He was just so sure he was so connected with this girl. Even though they spent no time together and the few moments they do spend together he is so nervous it's not pretty to watch. And then he, like Kasey, thought he'd seal the deal by strumming a guitar and singing Ali a song that he wrote. This at the cocktail party before she boots some boys home.

I'm not gonna get into the annoyingly long Lion King contrivance that had Roberto naked and flying through the air with Ali. Suffice to say, this show should not be 2 hours long.

Next week they are off to Iceland. Apparently causing a volcano to erupt.

The Real Housewives of New York City Reunion: Kelly Goes Crazy on Part 2

Well. Part 2 of the 3 Part Real Housewives of New York City Reunion Show delivered.

Predictably, made predictable by the previews, Part 2 ends with Kelly storming off the set.

The pre-Crazy Kelly part mainly focused on a lot of Jill bashing. It was relentless. Jill would have a flash or two of temper and fight back, at times. But Jill was pretty much a beat up mess.

Finally, Andy Cohen asked one Jill question too many, so Bethenny called a halt to the firing squad.

We then quickly moved on to Sonja Morgan arriving with her patented style of good humor and calming affect. We got a little preview of the upcoming Crazy Kelly when the discussion turned to one night stands.

And then it was time for Kelly.

Bravo and Andy Cohen did what I hoped they'd do, but didn't think they would. They showed a lot of the footage of Kelly's crazy behavior on the yacht and villa on the Virgin Islands.

I wanted Kelly to be asked directly about what we all saw. Andy asked, and Kelly went off into Crazy Kelly land. It was as bizarre as the meltdown on the island.

Kelly went on about being systemically bullied, on and on with a totally distorted version of what really happened. Ramona, Alex, and Bethenny looked to be having some sort of post-traumatic stress reaction.

Eventually LuAnn tried to diplomatically point out to Crazy Kelly that it was Kelly's behavior that appeared to be the instigator.

It really was astonishing to watch Kelly go to her lunatic side. Again. At one point Kelly insisted, as she has in the press, that Bravo forced her to go on that trip. Andy Cohen, a Bravo executive, corrected Kelly. Several times. Saying no, she was not forced to go. Kelly then turned her craziness on Cohen.

Andy Cohen started the Kelly segment by saying the breakdown disturbed viewers and was difficult TV to watch. Or words to that effect. Right in front of Kelly he says this. We then watch the footage. Along with Kelly.

After which Kelly does her twisted spin that makes no sense.

Finally, Bethenny could take it no more, called Kelly on the idiotic psychotic nonsense, saying, again, that Kelly needs help, that she has a personality disorder.

Kelly then stormed off the set. Followed by "To Be Continued...."

Now, I'm thinking, this was so bad tonight, there can be no denying, by anyone, now, that there is not something seriously wrong with Kelly Bensimon. It is wrong that she is being put on TV in her obvious state of mental ill health.

It was just very troubling. I can't wait til Part 3. In 3 days.

Ali Fedotowsky is a Drunk Kissing Machine on The Bachelorette

That is Ali Fedotowsky sitting on Jake Pavelka's lap on The Bachelor. I don't remember if this lap sitting took place when she left the show the first time to return to work, or when she returned from work, to beg Jake to let her back on the show.

For reasons unfathomable to me the producers of this TV franchise chose the extremely unappealing Ali Fedotowsky to be the current Bachelorette.

After the contrived train wreck of The Bachelor which ended with the dull, unlikable, plastic man, Jake, picking the equally plastic Vienna to be his wife, well, I vowed, no more of this bad TV for me.

And then, this past Monday, I was bored, channel chasing. And I came upon The Bachelorette. I started watching. Ali Fedotowsky is even more unappealing than I remembered. And she seems to have a serious drinking problem.

Near as I could tell she booted a guy simply because he took way too long to open a bottle of champagne, while Ms. Fedotowsky eagerly waited with an empty glass.

I don't remember the champagne guy's name. The only names I remember are the Latino Roberto, the crippled professional wrestler, Justin, who hobbled on crutches to Ali's house. And this really pathetic Weatherman from Texas, Houston to be exact, named Jonathon.

Jonathon turned into a quivering mess during a contrived shoot for a Bare Naked Ladies video. Jonathon's part called for him to kiss Ali. This totally freaked the Weatherman out. It was sort of uncomfortable to watch. I got the inkling that the Weatherman had never actually seen a bare naked lady in real life. Let alone kiss one.

The totally contrived "dates" on these Bachelor/Bachelorette shows are getting ridiculous. Ali took her swarthy Latin Lover, Roberto, on a helicopter ride to the top of a downtown Los Angeles skyscraper. And then the pair had to walk a tight wire, 20 stories up, gave or take a story, across to another skyscraper roof for food and drink.

Midway to the other skysraper Roberto thought it a good time to kiss Ali. And so he did. Ali wobbled a bit on the tight wire. I so wanted her to fall, like racers did on the recently completed Amazing Race in a similar stunt.

Ali seems to be heavy into drinking and indiscriminantly kissing as many of the guys, as often as she can. A pair of the guys seem to monitor Ali's kissing, like some sort of Greek Chorus.

Weatherman for the win. Seems like the best match for me. And ABC really should not repeat the mistake they made at the ending of The Bachelor. The mistake I'm referring to was putting Jake Pavelka on Dancing with the Stars, a place few wanted to see him. Ali Fedotowsky on Dancing with the Stars would likely cause me to curtail my viewing of that show even more than I already do.

Gleeful About Glee

I watched not an episode of the new FOX hit, Glee, til this week when I watched the finale.

I remember at some point on this year's American Idol, annoying new judge, Ellen DeGeneres, asked Tim Urban if he could act, suggesting he should be on Glee.

At the time, I had no idea what Ellen meant by that, uh, constructive criticism.

Now that I have watched Glee, I will watch it again. I somehow thought Glee was just another musical. Instead it's got some really slick writing, very funny at times.

The Olivia Newton-John and Josh Groban bit as judges, playing themselves, being really mean and self-centered, was very funny.

And when Glee bursts into song, well, it is no American Idol. Can't whoever choreographs those horrendous American Idol Results Show's group numbers ask for help from whoever choreographs Glee?

Another American Idol comment. One of American Idol's tiresome cliches is the "you made it your own" or "you did not make it your own." Sometimes this is either a good or bad thing. Very confusing.

Well, the guy who coaches the Glee Club, Kurt Hummel, played by Matthew Morrison, in the last song of the finale, sang "Over the Rainbow" from the Wizard of Oz, to his students. This was about the best, made it his own, rendition of the Judy Garland classic that I've ever heard.

So, Glee was a surprise. Very unexpected. With adult moments, like when the manly cheerleader coach tossed off a line, to the principal, about continuing to keep it from his wife the time they made like the beast with two backs, with the principal being Indian or Middle Eastern and totally confused by the phrase "beast with two backs."

The Real Housewives of New York City Reunion: The Smackdown Part 1

I tell you, these New York City girls are delivering. I read somewhere, likely a totally disreputable place to be reading, that this season of RHONY has become a cultural phenomenon.

I don't know if it is possible to reach cultural phenomenon status with around 2 million viewers. Maybe it is. If by cultural phenomenon one means a lot of magazine and tabloid covers, well, that might indicate something phenomenal. And the show does seem to have a lot of media and celebrity types talking about it.

Yesterday I saw the cover of US Weekly, with Kelly, Bethenny and, I think, Ramona, on the cover, with the big headline being, I think, "Bullying, Lies & Betrayal."

Kelly Bensimon has further cemented her demented status with her bizarre anti-bullying Public Service Announcement campaign, based on how, in her twisted little mind, she was bullied by the other girls, while on what she calls Poison Island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Bravo's Andy Cohen had been making noises along the line that this season's reunion show really delivers. I figured this was just hype. And then I watched the first reunion hour. If anything, Andy was understated.

Apparently the 8 hours of reunion filming produced enough good stuff to warrant 3 hours of reunion shows, with Part 2 taking place Monday.

Part 1 had way too many good parts to recount. I love the ascendancy of Alex. Not only is she finally in full slap these bitches mode, saying what she really thinks, it seems, somehow, this has caused Alex to amp up in the looks department to being knockout out gorgeous, beautiful, cutie status. Previously to this season I never would have thought I would ever describe Alex in such a positive way. I am not alone in this change of heart.

The segment covering Ramona was amusing. Ramona always seems to handle criticism well. I guess she has had a lot of practice at making abject apologies.

Bethenny was in full glow mode. Filming took place only 12 days after she had her baby. Bethenny delivered, most excellently, a total teardown/breakdown of what really went down with her former BFF, Jill Zarin.

The coaching Jill received from PR experts seemed to have toned her down a bit, at first, and sort of had her, almost, believably contrite about her unbelievably bad behavior. And then the pressure got to her and the true Jill Zarin, self-described New York Bitch, came out in all her ugly glory.

Jill Zarin seemed somehow costumed to fit the bitch/witch part. I don't know what the deal is with her big wig of strange looking hair, scary makeup, odd dress and giant green high heel shoes. I've read more than one viewer describe Jill's tasteless look as "Truck Stop Hooker." That makes sense to me. Though I don't think I've ever seen a truck stop hooker. I can guess what they'd look like. Now that I've seen Jill Zarin so attired.

Kelly Bensimon brought her brand of insanity out at times. At one point she suddenly instructed Alex to cross her legs. Once again Kelly brought up Bethenny supposedly planting stories about Kelly and her kids. And once more, when asked to elaborate, Kelly can't. And turns increasingly incoherent and angry. It's weird how many times we've seen this.

I'm guessing Kelly has another insanity Breakdown/Breakthrough in Parts 2 or 3. Or both. The previews show Bethenny once again telling Kelly she needs psychological help, that her behavior is not normal. Kelly then storms off the set. In another part of the preview we see Ramona stomping in front of Jill, acting out how Jill might have arrived on Scary/Poison Island, rather than the imperious way Jill did arrive, offputting the 4 Kelly victims and the 2 million plus viewers.

Bravo has really amped up the Real Housewives franchise with the New York City girls this season. Can this much nuttiness possibly be matched or topped by any of the other Housewife franchises? Well, we do have Atlanta. And Kim Zolciak taking time out from her affair with Big Poppa to have an affair with a woman. That should be some classy viewing.
