Flipping Out: Jeff Lewis Nears Flipping Point

Last night's Tuesday, September 14 episode of Flipping Out seemed to have more than the usual amount of Jeff Lewis flipping out.

Jeff was way out of line calling Jenny a moron because she dared verbalize a positive opinion about a possible positive outcome of the door hinge debacle at Casa Vega.

Jeff did later apologize for the moron remark.

I found that Barb lady highly disturbing. I can see how she might be entertaining in a short dose, but she was just way too far over the top. I thought Jeff and Jenny handled their divorce from Barb well.

But, how bad were Barb's feelings hurt when/if she watched last night's episode?

There had not been a trace of Trace in the previous 2 episodes, but there was a trace of Trace on last night's episode. Mostly he just looked wonder-eyed at Jeff's fussing. I do not remember if he spoke.

When Jeff sort of politely, asked Sarah to quit marching like a Nazi Goosestepper on the wood floors, I totally understood why that got on his nerves. What I do not understand is why Jeff does not institute a gum chewing ban. I could not take Sarah's open mouth gum smacking.

If I were Jeff I'd also insist Sarah do something about her distracting eyebrows.

I thought Christy was rightly upset over how badly the workers were working on her Casa Vega remodel. Why does Jeff not fire these people, I sat and wondered? Is it real difficult to get competent construction workers in California? When that guy, last night, did not know to make sure the wire was dead before touching it, even after Jeff cautioned him, and then him getting shocked, well, if I were Jeff I think that would have been the you are fired moment.

The previews showed Jeff in full blown Jeff mode, criticizing everyone, telling Zoila she's lazy and pointing out her housekeeping errors to the point he drives her to tears.

The martinis seem to calm Jeff down. I think maybe he should up his dose.

Bachelor Pad: David & Natalie Win While Melissa Rycroft is the One on the Show Impregnated

The guy on the left looking all bug-eyed and goofy is David Good. The girl on the right looking all bug-eyed and goofy is Natalie Getz.

David and Natalie won, if you can call it that, Bachelor Pad. Towards the end Dave said it was all surreal.

I could agree with that.

Most surreal part for me was the 3 remaining couples learning a ballroom dance, taught by 3 Dancing with the Stars professionals. This had David doing a lot of dancing with Louis Van Amstel

After the couples learned their dance, they performed in front of a panel of three esteemed ballroom dancing experts. Jake Pavelka, Trista Rehn Sutter and, if I am remembering right, Melissa Rycroft. Who we later learned, at the start of the supposed live hour, is the Bachelor Pad person who got impregnated during the course of the show.

Why would they put the thoroughly disgraced Jake Pavelka on this judging panel. He did manage to be amusing with his pompous critiquing, like he is Mr. Dance Expert.

Anyway, Kiptyn and Tenley won the coveted Disco Ball Trophy and the right to decide who they wanted to compete against in the finals.

They chose to send Jesse Kovacs and Elizabeth Kitt home. In separate limousines.

The second hour was the supposed live return of the evicted Bachelor Pad residents, returned so they could sit in judgement of the final 2 couples. I've never seen anything "LIVE" on TV that did not constantly tell you it was "LIVE", as in having "LIVE" somewhere on the screen.

When we went "LIVE", first the two hosts, Chris Harrison and Melissa and her Baby Hump, caught up with some of the evictees. Kovacs and Elizabeth de-boinked post Pad. Elizabeth seemed a tad bitter. Kovacs seemed a bit relieved. Gia has now dumped her boyfriend and new boyfriend, Wes, is currently valuing Gia at $1 million. Tenley and Kiptyn are now officially boy friend/girl friend, according to Tenley. And Dave and Natalie are long distant friends, discussing if they want to progress their relationship to the next level, which must be beyond the Fantasy Suite, because they've already done that level.

Then the evictees got to ask questions of the final pairs. It was actually sort of amusing. In many ways better than when the Survivor jury asks questions of the final Survivors. Gwen got to make Dave squirm due to informing him that she'd overheard him telling others what a sad, pathetic thing it is that an elderly lady, like Gwen, would be on such a show to find love. Gwen said she was on it for the money. Juan objected to Gwen's age being characterized as elderly, since he is only 3 years younger than Gwen.

Then the 4 got to plead their case to the jury. Dave and Natalie up first. They were not too annoying. Natalie was funny. Kiptyn and Tenley were very beauty pageant-like. We learned Tenley lost her house and dragged her parents down with her. The money would help her fix everything. With enough left over for fun. Kiptyn did not want to come on the show til he realized the charitable type good he could do with that fortune of $250 million. I mean thousand.

Then the evictees voted on who should win. 15 voting, 8 votes needed to win. Dave and Natalie got 8 votes. Which means they won.

But, we still have 15 minutes to go. Now we have to decide which of the pair gets the money. Dave and Natalie are led to separate rooms to decide whether they want to share the money or keep it all for themselves. If both choose "share" they share. If one chooses "keep" and the other chooses "share" the one who chose "keep" keeps all the money. If both chose "keep" then the fortune gets split among the 15 evictees and Dave and Natalie get nothing.

Dave and Natalie agonize over their choices, while the evictees speculate that Natalie is always out for herself and will likely choose to "keep" the money. The pair are led back on stage by some sort of security guy.

Dave reveals he wants to share. Natalie looks pained. She asks if she can say something. Harrison says "NO." Harrison then repeats what he's already repeated and then asks Natalie if she has anything to say. Natalie then proceeds to act as if she is rationalizing why she chose "keep", but then pulls out "share" with Dave looking very relieved.

It seemed very staged to me.

The ratings ended up being good for this bit of BAD TV. Are they going to bring back this train wreck next summer?

Bachelor Pad Finale: Who Has Been Impregnated?

Tomorrow night, Monday, September 13, ABC's Bachelor Pad comes to a merciful 2 hour end.

Last week Bachelor Pad somehow managed to come in #12 in the Nielsen Ratings.

Before Bachelor Pad premiered, its producer, Mike Fleiss, sleazily claimed an impregnation took place during the filming of the randy occupants of the Bachelor Pad.

I believe part of tomorrow's 2 hour bloat is some sort of reunion show. Will it be revealed who is heavy with child?

I think we can narrow down the suspects.

It is not likely that one of the girls who was not paired with one of the guys somehow managed a momentary assignation that resulted in getting in the family way.

It seems obvious our chief suspects are Tenley, Natalie, Elizabeth and Peyton.

Now, Peyton seems highly unlikely, but there was some sleazy implications when Peyton spent the night with Jesse B in the notorious baby-making Fantasy Suite. But then the next time the Fantasy Suite offer came up, with Jesse B, Peyton had no interest.

Now, before Natalie switched her affections to David Good, she was all over Jesse B. If Natalie turns out to be the mother-to-be it would seem the suspected impregnaters would be Jesse B or David.

Tenley and Kiptyn spent a night in the notorious Fantasy Suite. After Tenley shared with us that she had not been with a man since, now disgraced, Jake Pavelka had his way with her, implying she was about to have her way with Kiptyn. Tenley strikes me as the type of girl who would be careful about unwanted surprises.

That leaves us with one more suspect.

Elizabeth Kitt.

Elizabeth is my #1 suspect. First off, unlike Tenley, Elizabeth strikes me as the type of girl who might be careless about unwanted surprises. Elizabeth is the only one of the girls about whom there is no doubt that she engaged in the behavior that can lead to baby production.

As in, last week Elizabeth and Jesse Kovacs snuck into the Fantasy Suite, where they proceeded to break the bed working on their fantasy. After the bed breaking part of the evening was over Elizabeth proceeded to harangue Jesse about not romancing her enough. Jesse then asked Elizabeth, "What about what we just did." To which Elizabeth replied, "You just got laid, is what we just did."

Now, unless the vernacular has changed for this younger generation, "getting laid" means having engaged in pro-creative activities.

So, my guess is poor Jesse Kovacs is about to be a baby daddy. Of all those girls my thinking is the only one worse to manage to knock up would be Michelle, she being the first one booted out of the Bachelor Pad, after a brouhaha regarding Tenley's rumor mongering that Michelle had been hankypankying in the middle of the night with the poofy-haired Canadian, Craig McKinnon

I'm thinking maybe Michelle should be added to the list of suspects.

Project Runway: Casanova Out April Wins With Jackie O Next Week

The ratings for Project Runway jumped up last week, putting the show in the Top 15 of cable TV Shows. Apparently the ratings are up due to the buzz about the show's return to being entertaining due to the amusing episode of 2 weeks ago, the two team design a collection episode, that included an epic meltdown by Gretchen's team.

Anyway, last night's Project Runway episode was a bit boring, at least for me. They had to design resort wear. Mondo repeated several times that he had never been to a resort, that a resort for him is being in his apartment in his underwear.

After the designers designed their resort wear and bought the materials, Tim Gunn tossed them a curve. Tim drew names out of a bag, pairing designers. The person the designer was paired with made the other designer's design, and vice versa.

Mondo was paired with Michael Costello and was real whiny about it. And then quickly figured out that Michael C was not the bad guy the others had made him out to be. By the end they seemed to be best friends, wrapped in each other's arms.

Mondo was in the Bottom 3 for a swimming suit that even I could tell was really bad.

Whiny Ivy was paired with the other Michael, he being Michael D. Michael D with the extremely annoying manner of speaking. Ivy dumbed down her design because she did not think Michael D could execute it. The end product even I could tell was really bad. Ivy was in the Bottom 3. While Michael D's resort wear, sewn by Ivy, was in the Top 3.

A lot of praise was heaped on April's swimsuit dress or whatever it was. I thought it looked real tacky. But what do I know about high fashion? Michael D's Top 3 number also seemed odd to me, with the judges liking it. Both April's and Michael D's were mostly or all black.

And then the Hawaiian, Andy, well, he made a swimsuit that looked good to me. I was sure he was the winner. But instead it was April's Fredericks of Hollywood resort wear that won.

I thought they were way too harsh over Casanova's resort wear. Saying it looked like something an old lady would wear. I've seldom seen any old ladies dressed in anything that stylish. Casanova is funny. He looks like a monkey, but he's funny. I think we may see Casanova on our TV screens again. He took being out real well, well, there was that moment when he tried to hang himself, but other than that, classy exit.

As for the other boy designers, I don't understand the bad personal taste of most of them, well some of them, regarding how they dress themselves and what they do with their hair. Andy for one. Is a mohawk fashion forward? And how does Mondo get his hair to do what it does? And why all the weird shirts and shorts some of the boys wear?

Now, the girls, they all seem to have good taste in the personal taste department.

Next week, I'm not sure, but it seems like they are designing something that Jackie Kennedy Onassis would wear. That seems a tad bizarre to me.

Jessica Simpson Guest Judge on Project Runway Finale

I like Jessica Simpson. I find her amusingly ditzy. But I did not know she was a fashion icon. But she must be. Because Jessica Simpson is the Guest Judge on the finale of Season 8 of Project Runway on Lifetime.

The Project Runway finale was filmed this week during New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center.

Jessica Simpson joined Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia judging 10 designer's collections as they came down the runway.

10?

Yes, 10. Seven designers who got cut came back as decoys, so as not to reveal who the final 3 are.

Now, Jessica Simpson as a judge? I remember on her show with her ex on MTV, Jessica and her mom went shopping for clothes in New York City. Every other word out of Jessica's mouth was "cute."

It seems like it'd goof up the proceedings to have Jessica Simpson being one of 4 inputting her opinion as to who's designs are best.

But, it should be entertaining. I'm betting Jessica will use the "cute" word at least once.
