In a couple hours the nation will find out if a scandal of Watergate/Teapot Dome proportions has erupted upon the land due to Bristol Palin winning the coveted Dancing with the Stars mirror ball trophy.
Last night, as is the norm, for most of the season, Bristol got the lowest point total from the judges.
Will the vast Right Wing Conspiracy save Bristol again tonight?
I have no idea.
I really do not have any understanding of how the judges' votes are combined with the public's votes and the additional judges' votes from tonight's additional 2 dances, to determine who wins this silly thing.
Personally, I hope Bristol wins. That would provide me the most entertainment. I'm likely projecting what I think on to others, but I think Jennifer Grey has worn out her welcome with the viewers.
And Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough sort of make an unseemly couple. A cougar with her boy toy. While Bristol and Mark make such a cute couple, with only a 4 year age difference.
And was it not nice of Bristol and Mark to take a break from the bedroom, I mean ballroom, and put on some of their clothes to pose for this lovely photo for us?

American Idol Final Results: Adam Lambert Out Kris Allen Wins
I let the DVR get a half hour ahead, recording the American Idol Finale, before I started watching. Fast forwarding through commercials and fluff, I caught up with live way too fast.I'd learned Wednesday morning that I really don't mind finding out who won something, the morning after, when I did not watch the Dancing with the Stars final results show on Tuesday. I learned Shawn Johnson won online. I fast forwarded through DWTS at lunch yesterday. I must say the roast by Jeffery Ross was pretty edgy stuff. And funny.
I thought Adam Lambert had a lock on winning American Idol, what with all the praising done by the judges and how the live audience seemed way more enthusiastic about him than Kris Allen. But, where were all those Danny Gokey voters gonna go but to the clean cut All-American boy?
It was like Lambert had already won the thing, with being a big star already assured, or as Simon Cowell put it, someone with world-wide appeal, or something like that, so it is kind of a nice thing that the underdog, come from behind kid won. That and he's got a wife to support. Adam Lambert does not have that particular burden.

Dancing With The Stars Finale
I watched Monday night's Dancing With The Stars during lunch. I forgot about it last night. I was too over stimulated by 24 to remember to watch anything else. For the first time ever, what those 3 judges said after a dance matched what I thought, basically that Melissa Rycroft's freestyle was not a good thing. It was just off. Even I could see that. And I'm as Dance Deaf as I am Tone Deaf.
I like that Gilles Marini guy. But I like his partner more. I guess they are my favorites to win.
Although I do find that Olympic gymnast, Shawn Johnson, to be a likable young thing. Her partner, Mark Ballas, seems way too touchy feely. He's 22 or 23. She's what? 17? There was that disturbing aftermath of one of their dances that had the Internet all abuzz, that being the dance that had the pair in gym shorts. At the end of the dance overly excitable Mark was giving a prominent salute of the sort you don't really want to be making live on TV. It was a rare reality TV show moment.
I'm watching American Idol tonight. I likely will not know who won the coveted trophy til tomorrow.
